Ripley

After Ripley survives the EEV crash on Fiorina 161, Clemens takes care of her. She stays strong even when she finds out what happened to Hicks and Newt. When she sees a burn on Newt's cryotube, she persuades Clemens to do an autopsy to make sure the child wasn't impregnated. Once her friends are cremated, she shaves her head. Lice is a major problem on the planet.

Clemens tells her about the history of Fury 161 and helps her find Bishop, but she still refuses to trust him. She won't explain why she really wanted an autopsy or what she thinks is going on. She even sleeps with him to avoid his questions although that's clearly not the only reason for her action. She's attracted to him.

Just before Clemens's death, she gets him to reveal his sordid past. She doesn't judge him for it. When Andrews is killed, Ripley takes over. Her first plan to capture the Alien should've worked, but it gets screwed up when the creature attacks an inmate, and a lot of prisoners end up dead.

Once Ripley discovers she has been impregnated with a Queen, she tries to get the Alien to kill her, but it won't. She asks Dillon to do it, but he also refuses. He knows they can use her to fight the creature. Later she helps Dillon convince the inmates to lure the beast into the leadworks. When 85 suggests they wait for some guns on their side, she tells them the truth about the company. "When they first heard about this thing, it was crew expendable. The next time they sent in marines. They were expendable too. What makes you think they're going to care about a bunch of lifers who found God at the ass end of space?"

Ripley lets Dillon use her as a shield to draw the Alien into the mold. After the creature jumps out of the lead burning hot, she switches on the sprinklers, killing it.

The company arrives, offering to take the Queen out of her so they can destroy it. She knows they're lying. She commits suicide by diving into the furnace. "This is Ripley, last survivor of the Nostromo, signing off."

Dillon

A murderer and rapist of women, Dillon runs things on Fiorina 161. He's the spiritual leader of the inmates. At the funeral for Hicks and Newt, he gives a speech. "Why the innocent punished? Why the sacrifice? Why the pain? There aren't any promises. Nothing is certain. Only that some get cold. Some get saved. She won't ever know the hardship and grief for those of us left behind. We commit these bodies to the void with a glad heart. For within each seed, there is the promise of a flower, and within each death, no matter how small, there's always a new life. A new beginning."

When Ripley tries to tell him her friends would've appreciated it, he warns her, "You don't want to know me, lady," but she doesn't back off. She sits down right in front of him amidst all the convicts. He decides they can tolerate her. When she's nearly raped later, he saves her, teaching his brothers a lesson afterwards. Despite his past crimes, he's obviously changed his ways.

Dillon keeps the other inmates at bay. When Morse suggests shoving Ripley's head through a wall, Dillon tells him to "shut the fuck up." Dillon gets the convicts to follow Ripley's plans. He convinces the prisoners to use themselves as bait to lure the Alien into the mold. In the end, he gives his life to drown the Alien in hot lead.

Clemens

The doctor of Fiorina 161, Clemens is actually an inmate as well. During his first residency, he did a 36-hour shift in an ER. Afterwards, he "went out and got more than a little drunk." The same day he got called back in because of a massive accident. 11 people died under his watch because he prescribed the wrong dosage of pain killer. After his sentence was up, he decided to stay on the planet. When Ripley arrives, he watches over her, helping her recover with his own special cocktail of medicine. He even strains his friendship with Andrews for her. Ultimately, he's killed by the Alien in the infirmary.

Andrews

As the Superintendent of Fury 161, he's responsible for the inmates. He never believes Ripley, and he doesn't want her causing "ripples in the water." He knows how much trouble she could cause. He likes to do things by the book.

Aaron "85"

Aaron has an IQ of 85. Hence, his nickname. He's the Superintendent's assistant. With a wife and a kid back home, he's going to go back to Earth on the next rotation. The inmates call him "a company man." Everyone always tells him how dumb he is. He doesn't think the company will shoot them. He trusts that they'll do the right thing. Once he learns how naive he was, he attacks the real Bishop with a wrench and gets shot to death.

Morse

As Dillon puts it, Morse is "the guy who made a deal with God to live forever." Although he initially hates Ripley for bringing the creature there, he eventually helps her even when a company soldier shoots him in the leg. He's the only prisoner to actually survive.
